“Line of Descent,” a film by Warren Miller that chronicles how today’s most recognizable skiers got their start in the sport, will be showcased in Taos. The one-day ski film screening is being hosted by the Town of Taos, Taos Ski Valley and the Taos Center for the Arts (TCA). The first showing begins at 4 p.m. at the Taos Community Auditorium, followed by a showing at 7 p.m.
“Line of Descent” is the 68th annual winter sports feature film from Warren Miller Entertainment. The film celebrates the art of skiing and features well known figures from the skiing community, as well as showcasing the top destinations worldwide for the sport. Miller has been producing winter adventure films since 1949, and for many snow sport enthusiasts around the world, the annual release of the films marks the beginning of ski season.
The event will be emceed by Owner/Chef of ACEQ restaurant and local ski enthusiast, Michael Wagener, and will feature free giveaways for attendees. Admission for the 4 p.m. showing is free for kids 16 and under and $5 for adults, while the 7 p.m. showing is $10 general admission.
