John Suazo will talk aboout “Stories from Taos Pueblo Elders” that have inspired his sculptures. John Suazo, born in Taos Pueblo, has been a full-time sculptor since 1974. This award-winning sculptor says, “The stone talks to me and then we work together creating a story that fits it.“ Suazo attended the Unversity of New Mexico in Albuquerque, Navajo Community College in Tsaile, Arizona and the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. For over 30 years John Suazo has sculpted in alabaster, limestone, cedar and walnut.
