“May you sleep in a river of salsa for a hundred years without chips,” screams Jalapeña, the Maleficent of Taos Children’s Theatre (TCT) fractured fairytale version of the ageless Sleeping Beauty. Christopher Heron performs Jalapeña in this romp through fairyland along with twenty-five young actors and dancers plus gifted adult performers. This highly comic adaptation of the beloved tale features also Dance of the Wicked Roses choreographed with dancers from Taos Youth Ballet.
“Sleeping Beauty or La Bella Durmiente or The Beauty of Sleeping” performs at Enos Garcia Elementary Auditorium, 440 Don Fernando.
The show features a raffle with exceptional prizes. Karen Thibodeau directs with a royal court of John Flaherty as King Stefano, and Francisco Romero as The Herald.
